Dr. Lee Featured In AZ Business Magazine for Healthcare App
Do you use a smartphone app to manage your health? From exercise and diet trackers to sleep monitors and everything in between, it seems like there is an app to manage every aspect of your well-being. The September/October 2013 issue of AZ Business Magazine takes a look at some of these apps, with some of the top health care and health insurance professionals in Arizona, including Dr. Anthony Lee, weighing in with their opinions.
Dr. Lee, a consulting physician for an app created by the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, is largely favorable toward any resource patients can use to increase their knowledge of their own health care, saying, “We can use apps to educate patients. On the other hand, apps are constantly pushing updated medical information to providers to help us stay up-to-date on the latest information.” However, he and the rest of the panel remind users to exercise reasonable caution when using the apps, especially if they are not created by the CDC, FDA, NIH, or another recognized health care association. Read more on page 14 about their recommendations and see what they have to say about your favorite apps.
