Program Description:
Two fellows will be chosen each year. It is a one year program starting in July of each year. The start and end date can be modified if approved by the Fellowship director.

Clinical Responsibilities:
The fellow will rotate through clinical and procedural days with the assigned doctor. The practice is a diverse outpatient physical medicine practice with an emphasis on spine care and general musculoskeletal injuries. There is a significant volume of EMGs, musculoskeletal ultrasounds, and fluoroscopically guided spinal procedures. Fellows will spend a half a day every other month with a neuroradiologist reviewing cases.
Journal Club:
Journal Club occurs for the staff on a weekly basis and fellows must present at least once every month.
Interventional Procedures:
- Cervical: Transforaminal Epidural, Interlaminar Epidural, SNRB Facet Joint, MBB, RFA approximately 300 per year
- Thoracic: Transforaminal Epidural, Interlaminar Epidural, SNRB Facet Joint, MBB, Intercostal NB, RFA approximately 35 per year
- Lumbar: Transforaminal Epidural, Interlaminar Epidural, Caudal, SNRB Facet Joint, MBB, RFA, SI joint, RACZ cath approximately 1750 per year
- Discograms approximately 45 per year
- IDET approximately 5 per year
- PDD approximately 5 per year
- Spinal Cord Stim Trial approximately 10 per year
Research Responsibilities:
Fellows will be involved in at least one research project during their fellowship. This will be completed and submitted for presentation and /or publication.
Teaching Responsibilities:
Third and fourth year medical students rotate through the practice from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and AT Still University on an intermittent basis. We also have visiting PM&R residents who do elective rotations with our practice.
