“Returning patients to their highest level of function is the core principle of physiatry. My goal with every patient is to help them achieve this. I also strive to return them to the highest quality of life possible and to return them to the things they love to do. I work closely with the patient to help them achieve their goals”.

Dr. Amber Hennenhoefer has been practicing spine and musculoskeletal medicine for the past 7 years prior to joining Southwest Spine and Sports in 2015. She grew up in Phoenix and got her Bachelor’s degree at Grand Canyon University in biology. She then followed in her grandfather’s footsteps and went to medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, MO. She completed her combined internship and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Washington University in St. Louis. She was selected chief resident in her final year. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Hennenhoefer enjoys doing activities with her husband and 3 kids. This includes traveling, going to movies, playing sports and games.
